Trackplot options to suit your lone worker requirements
Trackplot is designed specifically for people who work outdoors, particularly those working in remote, isolated or hazardous areas. Our most popular option is Trackplot World, our satellite based solution, which does not need mobile phone reception to work.
Trackplot World – stay safe wherever you are
Trackplot World is our satellite based solution. It uses GPS satellites to find your position and raise the alarm in an emergency using low orbiting satellites. It does NOT need mobile phone reception to work. It works across the whole of the UK and beyond including all remote areas.
It can be used as a stand alone system or in tandem with Trackplot Mobile, providing a powerful and reliable communication solution for use across the world.
Trackplot Mobile – simple and secure
Trackplot Mobile is our basic solution. It allows quick and easy communication for your lone workers, particularly those working indoors in urban or rural areas. It works across the UK where there is reliable mobile phone reception.
It enables you to utilise a single device for all your communication – your existing standard mobile phone or smartphone to keep in touch. It is simple to implement, you can check-in and check-out during the course of the day using text messaging.
How does Trackplot World find me?
Trackplot World uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to locate your position. Trackplot World uses low orbiting satellite communication to transmit messages and this system covers 85% of the world and covers all remote areas in the UK.
The Trackplot Portal integrates with a range of GPS devices to ensure constant monitoring and to allow lone workers to check-in and raise an alert when necessary.
How does Trackplot Mobile find me?
Trackplot Mobile works on a completely different system – it uses UK postcodes to determine where you are located. The SMS that you send to the Portal contains a postcode reference which is converted to a position.
How do I chose the correct solution for me?
We can advise on the best solution for you. We will review the types of lone workers you have, where they work, the tasks they undertake and which time of day they operate – this assessment will allow us to make a recommendation to you.
