David Chudleigh, Harvesting Manager at Trackplot customer Tillhill, and his friend Nick are driving from Plymouth to Bamako in Mali in David’s 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara, departing on Boxing Day to raise money for TREE AID.

Trackplot has provided a tracker and created a portal so that David and Nick’s progress can be seen on their Just Giving page.

They will head South through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania. After crossing the Sahara Desert, they will head inland to arrive in Bamako, Mali. As well as raising money for TREE AID, they will be be donating the car to the Rotary Club Control Committee in Mali and the funds raised from the auction will go towards the funding of the Eden Medical Centre in Dinfaras.

TREE AID helps people in the drylands of Africa to lift themselves out of poverty and protect their environment. People here live in some of the toughest conditions on earth and trees are essential to their survival. Trees provide nutrition, generate income and help to create a healthy environment and works with local communities to help them protect and grow trees, for themselves and for future generations.

Please donate to this fantastic cause! We wish David and Nick all the best in their adventure!
