Trackplot are delighted and proud to have been involved is assisting RYA Scotland with their Commonwealth Flotilla 2014 event. The event saw over 250 boats sailing up the Clyde on the 26th July 2014, with boats coming from all over the UK and Ireland. This has become the largest flotilla to ever sail up the Clyde. Trackplot supported the event by designing and building the microsite and tracking 10 of the participating boats.

The public were able to follow 10 of the participating boats, tracking their journey from afar as Northern Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man and Lerwick, as they made their way towards the Clyde and the Commonwealth Flotilla. There was an amazing array of different boats from elegant small ships in the Small Ships’ Race, clipper boats in the Clipper Race from Ireland, to leisure yachts in a Cruise in Company.  One of the participating boats included a sea kayak that traveled down the newly opened Argyll Sea Kayak Trail. A relay of kayakers traveled the route carry one of Trackplot’s GPS Devices and their progress could be closely monitored from the microsite.
