A decade of Trackplot- 6 Month Update
This year we marked a significant milestone celebrating a decade of Trackplot. In the last 10 years we have become the UK’s leading remote monitoring system upholding our mission to keep lone workers safe. Since our conception in 2009, we have helped companies implement our solutions and establish robust lone worker procedures to give both employers and employees peace of mind.
Now that we are 6 months into our anniversary year, we are continuing to work to the highest standard by to providing exceptional customer service and working to further advance our product development. To help us grow this forward, we have welcomed 2 new members to the Trackplot team, Alexandra Maffei and Rosie Brown. Having new team members will allow for us to keep working effectively for our customers so that they can minimise risks of working alone outdoors.
Since our last post, FISA have published their latest revisions to “Guidance on Managing Health and Safety in Forestry” published in December 2019. This is FISA’s first update since 2014 and these refreshed guidelines have been expanded to inform all those working in the timber supply chain. They set out the legal duties and responsibilities across the UK forestry industry from landowners, contractors, sub-contractors, managers and forestry workers. Recognising the requirement for and development of competences is seen as the main safety challenge for the industry to address. We welcome the updated publications and are pleased to note that FISA comment on the need to address lone worker safety:
“You will need to have an agreed and functioning lone worker procedure if anyone is to be working away from other employees and without direct supervision.”
